Sunday was THE day. Every band was incredible and sounded great-dance party all day long! The Budget Rock Host…NoBunny Buzzer has added a guitar player since I saw them last at Candyfest in Seattle-I did not think I could dig them more, but I was wrong. Buzzer rules. The Lamps from LA rock the angular garage sound…highly recommended. Human Eye from Detroit…theatrical seizure inducing alien rock. I also found out where the sheets Backward Masks use as projector screens disappeared to when we played a show with them on 10.22 in Seattle…I am proud they are are still being used for ART. Budget Rock is in its 7th year, happening from 10-23 to 10-26 at the Stork Club in Oakland. A total blast so far and 2 more nights to go! Due to my job and a delayed flight we made it to the Stork Club around 11pm, sadly missing some super bands, but luckily in time to catch Roy Loney and Roy Head. Nobunny Roy Loney & the Phantom Movers Roy Head rocking it with East Bay Grease!!! Friday night line up…. |
