The Portable Shrines Collective is a small group of musicians and artists in Seattle, Washington, USA dedicated to the advancement of experimental happenings in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
In addition to producing custom video projections for a number of multimedia shows, we have curated the Escalator Festival for the past three years in a row. Portable Shrines also put on a psych DJ night at The Living Room every first and third Wednesday of last year hosted by DJ OneEye joined by many local luminaries of the Seattle underground . In addition we put out our first compilation – a double LP vinyl-only release featuring music by 18 of our collaborators, released on Record Store Day, April 16, 2011. More info here.
