For this week’s Magic Sound Theatre we have a special treat: DJ Beardomatic who some may also know as Jeffery Taylor from Wall of Sound records and such popular musical combos as Climax Golden Twins and AFCGT.
Jeffery starts things off right at 9pm so be sure and show up early cause you know he’s got the goods.
Then for the late shift DJ Eye will spin you into a stupor and send you home dazed and confused. Please join us for the finest in electrical sound stimulation. With projections by Portable Shrines.

lets be sensible

I will spare you the unfunny pot jokes and just give you the facts. This Sunday 11/21: a benefit for cannabis legalization group Sensible Washington at the Comet with a really killer bill- the Night Beats, Drug Purse and Black Science.

Highly recommended (no pun intended).

Still reeling from the Midday Veil record release party on sat. (see a detailed review at Seattle Subsonic) but there is another awesome record release show this week- Idle Times at the Funhouse tonight 11/15 with Circle Pit (from Australia!), Seapony, and Diver Down. An evening of fuzzed out avant-bubblegum rock for sure.

Circle Pit succeed in keeping heroin chic alive and well but please folks, stay away from heroin and downers. They are not the answer!

Also this Wednesday at the Living Room, it’s time for another Portable Shrines Magic Sound psych night. Thanks to all of yall that have come down to take part in this mind expanding music sharing ritual, it is always a pleasure and an honor to be able to spin records with so many amazing folks. This week that old Dull Knife himself, Mr. Adam Svenson will be hauling down a crate from his vast and drool-worthy collection. Be a part of the magic.

A cool little film by the folks over at Visitation Rites. This excellent site is full of music writing that you can actually read(without cringing) as well as other modest wonders. It’s quite good really, do the world a favor and check it out.

if you don’t know by now…
