Portable Shrines reccomends you go this Saturday at the Lo-Fi Performance Gallery, you won’t want to miss the Seattle debut of psych-pop band Boatclub from Oakland, CA! They will be performing with local paisley-pop icons The Green Pajamas, Tacoma’s The Drug Purse & DJ Brother James.
Boatclub’s Matt Piucci and John Thoman are former members of legendary 80′s psych-rock band The Rain Parade. If you were a fan of the paisley underground bands of that era, come down to the Lo-Fi and see for yourself what Matt & John are cooking up these days.
The Green Pajamas ruled the Seattle paisley underground during the 80′s, I cannot count the number of times I danced to Kim the Waitress-at a show I used my fake id to get into or at home in my room alone.
